Is it on any redirects? If so, I hope you haven't used the 'final' name until it's truly final.

Depends on how you're starting the server. I have a lot of documentation in this forum, here's an example: http://forums.gameservers.net/showthread.php?s=&threadid=15928 Are you running a dedicated Deathball Server, or do you allow multiple gametypes on it? (to include DM, CTF, ONS, etc) If you are ...

I'm not sure what you meant when you said you checked the map previously and it was "all set".

This needs work and Twig noticed that you didn't seem to have built it in the editor correctly. I fired it up and I agree. You must start the editor with the same -mod=deathball command that you run the client with or some volumes will not be created properly. Also, you're missing a texture. Catch u...

David, you might want to touch up the front page to make it a little more clear that the 2.4 is a beta Beta BETA BETA BETA And that the 2.3 version is the feature complete one they should download. Only venture into 2.4 land if you want to play online with it. NA has NO public 2.4 servers, but BuD H...

Well, in fairness, it wasn't a derail like "oh this reminds me I forgot to get milk while I was out".. It was more like "hey, if they would do xxx, this tool wouldn't be necessary for some people." Further, if the files are tagged with version #s, they can be redirect hosted and thus make it even ea...

Wouldn't call it a complaint.. I'm just pointing out that if for example, version #s were used in the Deathball coding/map builds, the beta could coexist on the same server as the release. You could then switch the server to either on the fly via UT2Vote. Ditto clientside. No need to exit the game a...

Huh? Not your switcher toy.. the Deathball beta. I like giving people choices on my servers. I can only do that if two deathball versions DON'T use the same filenames.

You know, if it was compiled a little differently while it is still in beta, servers can host both at the same time and vote up whatever one you want.

Geeball2 Beta

Many of you know between me and Max_Power (and Thex too!), we're a couple of guys who are forever torn between our love of Deathball and our love of killing. To feed that hunger, Max and I have been playing an awful lot of gibball lately and almost exclusively on DB-CTCR-Geeball, a classic UT2003 ma...

I support it in that it keeps people playing even with too few players for a full game.
Beginners may come and go and not get a taste of the real sport until they 4on4 or 5on5, but it is a game that is at least being played for public to see.
